Is there any way to put Vivaldi on an Amazon Fire 7 tablet?
-
There are a few websites that don't work with the default Silk browser. Amazon uses a proprietary OS on their Fire tablets, but it is based on Android, I think. There's no other browsers listed in the app store, and Silk hasn't been updated in forever, so my only other option is buying a new, non-Amazon tablet.
Correction: It's a Fire 7, not an HD.

Go to https://vivaldi.com/android/, tap
Download the app (apk) here
Just make sure you check Vivaldi's blog pretty often to download updates.
To install, enable Unknown Sources and then open the file. -
The alternative is to get the Google Play Store on your tablet. These steps should work. Yes, the title says
Fire HD 8
but it should work for any Fire. -
Worked perfectly! Didn't have to do anything else. Even synced with my desktop. Thank you.
