Video Playback Error: Possibly DNS issue?
-
On some videos, Vivaldi throws an error that normally is associated with DNS issues, from what I understand. The error is:
An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: nsKi_1Z93fk9H1g6)
Learn MoreBut the same videos work in other browsers, without such errors.
Here is an example link:
I am on a Mac, latest Big Sur public beta. The latest version of Vivaldi.

@ZerroMan Works for me on Linux!?
Have you checked without extensions etc. by using "Guest Profile"?
The latest version of Vivaldi.
Which latest?

Hi, Vivaldi is 3.2.1967.45 (Stable channel) (64-bit).
MacOS is macOS 11.0 (20A5343j)
-
@ZerroMan That just happened to me too.
MacOS 11.0 Big Sur Beta
Vivaldi 3.2.1967.45 (Stable channel) (64 bits)But I noticed it happened to me once, while still on Catalina a couple of days ago.

Any change after todays Vivaldi update? 3.2.1967.47 (also  might have another macOS 11 public beta update out in the next few days).
Any example videos?
-
No change yet. The video from the original post does not play, and I still se the next image:

@Awoodstock Any extensions?
Error still there after clearing the cache?

I tested on Catalina 10.15.6 and now it works. I think there was something wrong with the Big Sur Beta + Vivaldi playing videos on Youtube and Twitter. I had to go back to Catalina since even Safari and Firefox crashed frequently. Thanks for your help.

I still see errors when trying to play videos on the Amazon site (on Big Sur public beta). Here is an example video (play the first video in Videos for this product:
Notably, the video plays just fine in Brave, which is also Chromium-based, so it looks like it's a Vivaldi-specific issue.
On an even crazier note, if I go to Ebay.com, Vivaldi will freeze and I have to quit to recover. I noticed it three days ago, it does it as soon I open the Ebay home page. I have to use a different browser for Ebay now.

@ZerroMan @Awoodstock Vivaldi has not had any formal testing under macOS Big Sur as of yet but please report any bugs that you encounter. Please also make it very clear that you are reporting a problem with Vivaldi on a pre-release beta version of macOS. Thanks!

Please include the content of vivaldi://media-internals if you do file a bug report. That will tell us what media decoders are selected on your system. There is a "copy all to clipboard" button at the top of that page.

@ZerroMan @Awoodstock Sometimes the streaming servers for some countries have errors or outage.
It is not only YouTube, the BBC iPlayer is not working on Vivaldi.
