Mouse gestures and controls

Of course, one big feature for mouse gestures is customization.
For example, I like to use RMB + Down for closing a tab.
And Opera 12 allowed you to assign other options. I like to use RMB + Right and Down for 'End' and RMB + Right and Up for 'Home'

I may be the only person in the world to like this idea but I am going to throw it out there. Is there any way you could make it so that when the mouse cursor reaches the far left or right margin you have it re-appear on the other side instead of just going off screen and staying there?

Also missing mouse gesture with scroll wheel for tab changing.. Here's wishing it comes soon!

I think that's something you'd have to do with the OS itself, and not necessarily something Vivaldi could do.

OK. Good to know. Thanks.

Ahh yes, how did I miss that, I use it almost daily
Another thing I just realized which is part of browsing: there's no setting to select where a new tab opens, whether it opens at the end of all tabs or next to your active one.

Mouse gestures are not working in the latest snapshot (v.1.0.135.2)

Bumping for victory! Especially mousewheel gestures, which are so deeply ingrained I can't live without!

Time for an update!
Vivaldi 1.0.231.3 (Developer Build) (32-bit) on Windows 7
Blink 537.36Unchanged:
Last speed dial page does not allow closure with a mouse gesture, this is due to the idiotic decision not to allow a blank page inside a window like in O12 even though all tabs are instanced as separate processes and the parent process is alive and kicking with just a speed dial page alive
RMB + Down == RMB + Down and Up; tab closes with two different gesturesAdded:
RMB + Scroll == Changing tabs (reported by kudo); this now cycles tabs the same way as keybinds do, one page at a time instead of showing a list where one can scroll through 20 tabs without the performancehit of having to render each page again.
On hyperlinks; RMB + Down and Up == Open in background tab
RMB + Down and Up == Open a background tab
Tabs can now be rotated in sequence and closing a tab will land you on the previously active tab instead of a random one like in ChromeDeprecated:
RMB + Up and Right == reopen closed tab; restore/minimize function removed as far as I can see
On hyperlinks: RMB + Down == Closes the tab instead of doing nothingMissing:
RMB + Down == Open a new foreground tab
RMB + Up and Right == Maximize
RMB + Down and Left == MinimizeExtra deprecation:
Setting 'http://about:blank" as home page breaks the behaviour of extensions causing the page to display 'chrome-extension://mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli/http://about:blank'I'll come back in a few months to check the situation again.
For me, there is still zero reason to swap over from Chrome at this stage (boo O12 being too broken to use anymore ) as Vivaldi doesn't offer anything special outside of wildly different skin and half-way finished navigation. I do love Quick Commands but it opens everything in a new tab and I had to go and rebind F2 to focus address bar and QC to F8 as it doesn't do what I want. Thanks for the actually customizable keybinds, now please look at the mouse in the next 6 months

Custom mouse gestures with gestures for google chrome -extension
Might be useful for someone here also.

I am so happy that Vivaldi is now out! Opera, up until version 12.x, was the very best web browser and I still use it now, even as current web standards and technology make it less and less usable. I was thrilled to hear about Vivaldi and today I have just installed it and am currently testing it out with various websites and am highly impressed with it thus far. One disappointing oversight however is the missing mouse gesture to minimize a tab. (previously RMB + Down and Left on Opera.) As a power surfer, this particular gesture was frequently used as I tried to close out finished tabs while only minimizing the ones I wasn't quite done with yet. Please bring this gesture back!

Try the option in Settings, Tabs, Tab Features, "Click active tab to switch to previous tab."
