Tabs should reach top of screen when window is maximized
-
When I want to switch tabs, I instinctively click at the top of the screen. That does nothing in Vivaldi, but it should. It's really hard to switch tabs with this.

Disable Tab-stacking in Settings, Tabs.

I still think that this could be done better. What if someone want to use tab stacking and doesn't want this few pixels above the tab? I know they're there because that's where the stacked tabs are shown, but I think there's still place for the stacked tabs even without that space at the top. What do you think?
Thanks for the solution anyway.

Just want to throw my two cents in here to say that I like a little border on my windows. I'd rather they keep the extra pixels up there.

Anyway disabling the tab stacking I can't drag my Window from the top to maximize / un-maximize it anymore
Just shoot your mouse cursor to the top and double-click, or use the side panel if it is available.
Windows key + Up/Down cursor is also useful to know.

The matter was discussed many times here. Be sure that Improvements will come in that area.

But I want to do it that way
People are arguing about the "open a tab in background" feature since 5 months cause they don't want to middle click or ctrl+clickWell you can't so do it in a way that actually works.
After five months of doing it that way you may forget that you ever did it the other way, by which time it may be fixed. There is no need to complain or argue at all. Just report issues and make feature requests.
The developers know we want pretty much everything that Opera 12.17 can do, and they will implement features as and when it becomes possible.
