Push twice to close when I tap on the back button in the navigation bar
-
Everytime I tap on the back button in the navigation bar, I get the message that I have to tap twice to close the app. If I tap twice, I get onto the previous webpage. This message also appears when I tap the home button and I rather would like to close Vivaldi with a single tap. This behavior was, if I am not mistaken, introduced with the penultimate update before leaving the Beta. If I scroll up a bit I can use the Vivaldi buttons but that's rather inconvenient. I use a Pocophone F1 with MIUI11 and Android 10.

That must be a MIUI feature, Vivaldi does not prompt this by themselves, as evident on other Android versions.

Opera, Chrome and the Xiaomi browser do not show this behavior with the back button. No other app does that either. The only app that actually does that on my device is Vivaldi.

Thank you!

Hello there!
I was also having this problem and today, I finally found the solution. It is caused by the "game turbo" app which thinks Vivaldi is a mobile game.
This helped me fix it:- Open the "security" app.
- Scroll down and you will see a "Game turbo" button there. Tap on it.
- In the top-right corner, there is a settings icon. Tap on it.
- Either completely disable the game turbo feature or at the bottom of the page, disable restricting buttons and gestures.
Hope this helps!

@matejbednar Thank a lot, you just save my Vivaldi experience
I migrated from Opera on all platforms and I was surprise that Vivaldi for Android was so bad !

@matejbednar I just saw your post. Thank you!

@matejbednar Yeah, I accidentally uninstalled vivaldi and when I re-installed it, I noticed I was getting a game turbo overlay. And then annoying issues with double tapping to get out. Thanks for confirming it was Game Turbo and for the fix.
