Why no help for Vivaldi?
-
Is Vivaldi an elite browser only meant for power users and web designers? That is the sense I am getting since there does not seem to be any help. I have questions such as: How do I control my plug-ins, such as Last Pass? I have found the Plug ins page but you cannot do much there. In Firefox the icon for an app such as Last Pass appears in an easy to access area on the front of the browser on a tool bar or plug in bar or whatever they call it ( i can never remember the nomenclature for different gui parts of apps, programs, browsers, etc.). I cannot manually access any of the manual functions of this app. It does properly function in Vivaldi as a password completion application. If there is a help page somewhere, I am sorry I have not found it, so please let me know where it is. If there is not one, then why isn't there? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. There is no browser, yet - just the fluid and rapidly changing framework you see here, with many functions still incomplete - for instance, full extension support does not yet exist, and extension buttons and icons cannot be shown. Developers are working on extension support still. Hence, no help file can be written because it would be obsolete before it could be completed.
Some extension settings can be accessed by going to vivaldi://extensions (the extension manager page) and working with them there.

Most Chrome clones start off with the chrome GUI and then gradually change it.
We have a complete new GUI from Day-1 as it is not aimed at Chrome users. Vivaldi is now much more usable, but is a long way from being a release quality product.
Once Vivaldi reaches full Beta status it will be considered to be almost "feature-complete" but still buggy.
We still are at Alpha stage, so the fact that extensions even work is a bonus. -
