Unduly numerous processes at OS startup; randomly/abruptly vanishing UI.

Hi, When I boot into Windows, there are usually 20 or more vivaldi.exe processes. Can't account for that at all. Previous session I had maybe 3 or 4 open windows. Shouldn't be loading at system startup in any event. More annoyingly, the browser disappears at random while all its processes appear to persist. Is there some keyboard shortcut or something to make it reappear? Taskman shows only the processes and no executable. On regression, prior version had similar issue but could locate exe and force reappearance via minimize followed by maximize. (FYI, it's never a good idea to maximize a browser.)
Vivaldi 1.0.162.9 (Developer Build) OS Windows 7 JavaScript V8 4.1.0.21 Flash 17,0,0,134 Command Line "C:\Program Files (x86)\Vivaldi\Application\vivaldi.exe" --always-authorize-plugins --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end
OH BTW: I had to do complete uninstall of previous tech release in order to get this version to start up at all.
AND the fact that one is compelled to join a forum and perform multiple challenges in order to report bugs or ask a question is fairly lame, particularly when the graphics one is required to interpret do not appear in Vivaldi, necessitating creation of the Vivaldi forum account by means of a different browser.

Your issue is extremely rare, though not entirely unheard-of. I suspect Vivaldi developers are trying to track it down, but probably not as a high priority.
I actually do not understand your complaint about graphics and joining the Vivaldi forum. I was as simple as 1-2-3 for me. Perhaps there is a language barrier.
For four tabs, your version of Vivaldi should generate a minimum of eight processes, including the top-level UI process, which shows under "applicaitons." That is how the Blink browser engine works. If you have MORE than your number of tabs+4, then I suspect you have either several extensions installed or a bug.

I had the same problem, reported in the blog.
A clean reinstall after deleting my User Data folder fixed it. The bug is reported in another thread too with the User Interface size being affected by a file in the User Data folder.
As for your lame comments about joining the forum — I think you need to realise that using a Technical Preview or even a Beta product for real work is not recommended. I only use Vivaldi on this forum if I need to check out something reported by others. For everything unrelated to testing Vivaldi I use my default browser, which is Opera 12.17.

Sorry if I was rushed in my description of the bad captcha generation during account creation. I was seeing no captcha at all on multiple tries due evidently to slow connections and timeouts with the captcha provider (google maybe).
Right now I count 16 iterations of vivaldi.exe in Windows task manager with a clean Vivaldi install and two open tabs. I did not check how many appeared at boot time, this session.
My rare issue was duplicated by me approximately ten times during multiple reinstalls. Perhaps not many folks are using Windows 7 these days.
Snark mostly unintentional, for my part.

Currently with Win7 and two open tabs (one of them animated) and no extensions, I'm seeing 5 processes running in Task Manager (consuming 194, 112, 85, 53, and 24 Mb of RAM). So the rarity of your problem isn't due to low usage of Win7… there's something else going on in your system and Vivaldi's installation there that isn't going on for most other Win7 users. Is Vivaldi installed into multiple user accounts or just a single one on your system? Also, do you have Chrome and/or Blink Opera installed on the system?
