Anyone know of a fingerprint blocker?
-
IDK why Vivaldi doesn't inherently block ads and fingerprinting like some of the other browsers I have used, but if anyone can drop links for good HTTPS, blocking extensions, etc that would be great.

@ThePhantomInk
there're already some threads discussing the same topic, for example this one -
In one sense, using Vivaldi (without some UA switcher) is a fingerprint in itself. You want them to prevent websites from knowing you use their browser?
-
@sgunhouse No. Fingerprint protection means that websites cannot see info such as IP addresses
-
@derDay I need the Desktop version, not mobile.

@ThePhantomInk
most/all the mentioned extensions are also available for the desktopversion -
I use the Canvas Fingerprint Defender extension, but if you really want to hide your IP there is no other way to use a VPN (Desktop and paid version) or at least use a proxy Good VPNs are Nord VPN, Express VPN, Proton VPN and Windscribe. The last two also have free versions, good and without logs. Proton free has only a few servers, but has no data limit, Windscribe free has more servers, but is limited to 10 Gb monthly These two are good options, if you only want a VPN for punctual use, for permanent use you have to use the paid versions.

Try extension Trace.
