Not sure if this is the place to report broken extensions.
1.14 stable broke the Fair (Stands) ad blocker. It works sometimes now; before it was perfect.
Also Long Press, New Tab continues to be crippled.
Both work correctly in Slimjet.
-
@paul1149 Could be useful knowing on which chromium version slimjet is.
Vivaldi 1.14 is on chr64; Sometimes chromium bumps could break extensions. -

F.B.(FluffBusting)Purity may occur graphical problems with the modified interface in vivaldi in some cases, when the sidebar shows glitches appearing parts "corrupted" and distorted.
-
Scroll To Top extension crashes Vivaldi every time you enter options and change any of them. Happens since 1.16.1246.7.
-
I'd like to put in a good word for Long Press New Tab. This is a very useful tool I use all the time. By pressing and holding links with various mouse buttons, they will open in a new background or foreground tab.
While the middle and right buttons work fine in Vivaldi, the left button, which is the most natural to use, does not. Currently, it is opening a double new tab. That's better than its previous behavior, but still makes for clutter and more work.
It would be great to see this extension full supported..

Probably not a great surprise, but in case anyone is playing with Google Tasts, after the launch of the new app, the Google Tasks (by Google) extension doesn't authorise:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-tasks-by-google/dmglolhoplikcoamfgjgammjbgchgjdd
Works in Chrome 68.0.3440.106 (64 bit).

I think none of the google's extensions work like:-
- Keep App
- Keep Extension
- Office Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides
- Google Docs Offline
- and probably many/every other "google's" extension.
from 2.3.1440.48 (Stable channel)
-
Windows 10, 2.6.1566.44 (Stable channel) (64-bit).
React Developer Tools works if devtools are docked, crashes the browser (when you open devtools) if undocked.
The developers are aware, but Vivaldi is not in their supported list. PRs accepted though.

@yashpalgoyal1304 I've got the same problem. Since I've started using Vivaldi, I would love to be able to not use anymore google chrome at all. I was about to have migrated completely from chrome to vivaldi, but the fact that google docs offline extensions don't work correctly on vivaldi held me back...
I would love the "google's" extension to be able to work !! -
User-Agent Switcher 2.0.0.4
Does not work with current Vivaldi. It will not save any altered entries.G.lux 3.1.2
Supposed to change the shade of colour on web pages, but does nothing with Vivaldi. -
@lc35 Google is evil, and thats why I think they purposefully made their extensions to not work on Vivaldi.
Just guessing though, but still, if they can break Youtube site on Microsoft Edge Browser just to get an edge over lagging battery performance of chrome... they can do anything.

Trying to use "Better Pull Request for Github" extension in Vivaldi. It shows under vivaldi://extensions, but I cannot get it to work or show in the toolbar.

If Keepass is broken, let me know and I'll update the list -
@andreacc said in List of incompatible extensions:
Extension Save Image Router do not work and saves everything to Downloads folder.
I save a lot of images from the internet and like it to keep organized. Although it's not as good as Save File To from old firefox (which does not work on new firefox anymore).
@Hadden89 Yes, please Save Image Router is very useful and currently not working at all.
-
@Daladdine Sadly, it seems the author stopped to work on it.

Arf, and what about downalbum ? It doesn't work at all. Could you please add it to the list? And for Save image Router replacement, the author on github said to try save-in But you said that on your first post :
Save in... extensions: They rarely works fine (or are annoying to configure). This also because the chromium api for such tasks is flaky.
What does that mean exactly? It's gonna be fixed still at some point but it will take time? or that we can assume that's probably not going to happen?
If you have a Save in... equivalent that works on vivaldi in the meantime, i'm opened to an alternative.

@Daladdine Downalbum seems to be broken in chromium too looking at the recent reviews.
Save in seems to be working.

Chromium - Vivaldi is also based on it - is a bit strict on download paths: you can choose only one and additional paths (with the extension) must be inside the default folder otherwise it will need symlinks
Or you can do a request for "Save in... function".
