Memory Leak
-
Hi there ! In all versions I have used so far, there is some kind of memory leak. When started, the process "App: Speed-Dial/Background Page: Vivaldi/App: Vivaldi/Webview: Speed Dial" uses around 50 Mb of RAM (as seen in the browser-own Task-Manager / Windows Task Manager). After opening a few sites in tabs and closing them again, this values has gone up to around 250 MB of RAM usage and stays there. Anyone else experiencing this ? Not only I am NOT experiencing any memory leak, but my memory allocation for Vivaldi actually decreases the longer I have it open.
Also for some reason, my total memory allocation goes down when I have Opera 12.14 x32 and Vivaldi open at the same time. This drop in memory does not happen when I have both Opera 12. 14 x32 and 12.17 x64 open at the same time without Vivaldi being opened.

That's interesting. Are you running Windows 7 (32/64 ?) ?

Edit: This problem appeared consistently on Windows versions 7, 8.1 and 10, but only when I disabled hardware acceleration.
Enabling hardware acceleration solves this "memory leak". -
remidemy - I am glad to see that you solved the "leak" problem. Sorry I didn't respond to your question about my OS 6 weeks ago, but I am running Win 7 x64.

@remidemy: I appreciate you posting back after all this time once you figured it out.
