List of Vivaldi URLs ( vivaldi://vivaldi-urls )
-
[quote="Blackbird" post=19065][quote="MetaBaron" post=19059]This is also cool & good: vivaldi://vivaldi-urls[/quote]
Thank you! I've been trying all manner of addresses to get that... I never thought about a hyphen in the term. ;)[/quote] I also had been looking for this, and as far as I can tell it isn't posted elsewhere on the forum. So I thought I'd post it here under All platforms to make it easier for everyone to find via forum search.
I wonder if it should be a sticky thread ???

Perhaps I should mention that not all of the above are necessarily functional or completely accurate. For example:
vivaldi://bookmarks redirects to chrome-extension://eemcgdkfndhakfknompkggombfjjjeno/main.html
(apparently Chrome's standard Bookmarks Manager, but does not appear to be populated with any bookmarks on my system)
vivaldi://chrome-urls > redirects to vivaldi://vivaldi-urls
vivaldi://extensions > redirects to vivaldi://chrome/extensions
vivaldi://ipc > "This webpage is not available"
vivaldi://memory > redirects to vivaldi://memory-redirect
vivaldi://suggestions > "This webpage is not available"
vivaldi://version redirects to vivaldi://aboutβ¦And I imagine the whole list may be subject to considerable change as Vivaldi develops.

Based on a text search of files included in the current Vivaldi development version (1.0.129.2), it appears there are additional Vivaldi URLs that are already usable or perhaps are planned for the future:
vivaldi://performance > (apparently planned ?)
vivaldi://settingspage/mail/ > (apparently planned ?)
vivaldi://contact > (apparently planned ?, but currently forwards to default search engine)
vivaldi://memory-redirect > (vivaldi://memory already redirects here)The following may not be needed by most users, as most are already accessible in one way or another from the Vivaldi UI; but these URLs allow them to be opened in a tab:
vivaldi://about
vivaldi://help >(displays a simple 'About' page with version number)
vivaldi://history
vivaldi://startpage > (Speed Dial)
vivaldi://settingspage
vivaldi://settingspage/all > (same as vivaldi://settingspage)
vivaldi://settingspage/general
vivaldi://settingspage/appearance
vivaldi://settingspage/navigation
vivaldi://settingspage/network
vivaldi://settingspage/privacy--

I agree with gdveggie - This list should be a sticky note somewhere. He went to a lot of work to collect all of the urls. I imagine that it will have to be updated as Vivaldi development continues, but it helpful when I am trying to check something out and I am not sure where to go.
I just spent about 45 minutes searching for this list. I remembered seeing it when gdveggie first published it, but I couldn't find it without checking each day's posts until I came across it.
Maybe we could have a Sticky Note with Tips and Tricks with shortcuts and lists such as this.

People using the build xx138.7 have also
vivaldi://mail
and
vivaldi://settingspage/mail/The functions are self describing

Solutor - This is the kind of information and help that would be great in a Sticky Post. Thanks for putting it out for all of us.

Thanks for the support, but I was a little hesitant to raise the "sticky" thread possibility, both because I imagine the Vivaldi URLs might be subject to considerable change during this early developmental phase (e.g., see vivaldi://mail/ and vivaldi://settingspage/mail/ added two posts above by The_Solutor), and because I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with editing the original post to keep it current. But my hope was that by at least posting the list current at the time of the post, newcomers might find it via a forum search for any of the listed URLs.
Of course once one finds the list here, it would be easier and will be more current to simply visit vivaldi://vivaldi-urls or vivaldi://chrome-urls (and maybe bookmark for future reference).
(vivaldi://chrome-urls is the standard chromium URL and is the address included in the list on the page. It also seems to work more reliably than vivaldi://vivaldi-urls, which sometimes generates a 404 error (perhaps until vivaldi://chrome-urls has been visited once during the current session?). However, vivaldi://chrome-urls forwards to vivaldi://vivaldi-urls in the Vivaldi address bar, and generally either address will work. β¦I know, confusing, right?
But I imagine it will all get sorted out sooner or later.)
Maybe we could have a Sticky Note with Tips and Tricks with shortcuts and lists such as this.
I think this is a great idea. (I also thought about starting such a thread or requesting one, but again, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with it. My main concern with such a thread would be how to monitor the quality of the suggested Tips and Tricks and minimize or eliminate poor quality, faulty, misleading, or off-topic posts. If I get a chance I'll try to post some additional thoughts in the thread you started requesting such a Sticky thread.)

I am looking forward to your thoughts and input.
Maintaining the sticky would some work to keep it current, but it would really be worthwhile for the Community.

Another addition for the list: vivaldi://chrome/settings/content
This looks extremely useful !!!!!
I first learned of it from remidemy here.
I can hardly believe it, but as far as I can tell, it is only mentioned 2 other times before that in the whole Vivaldi forum: 65 minutes earlier (also by remidemy) in the German forum here, and about 3 weeks ago by Jtsn here.

Saved passwords editor for those that use the built-in saved password feature:

vivaldi://chrome/settings/autofill -
Settings - Search results
vivaldi://chrome/settings/search#a
[[u]will only work if search for a letter, such as "a" here or "e" (most commonly used letter in English language)]
(URL will bookmark as chrome://chrome/settings/search#a, but bookmarked URL will forward to vivaldi://chrome/settings/search#a)Many of the settings exposed by this search are accessible by other means, but this exposes at least two settings that I haven't yet discovered another way to view/modify:
Enable/Disable Autofill to fill out web forms in a single click
Enable/Disable Offer to save your web passwords(I first learned of this URL from An_dz here)
-
If you are using Vivaldi in a language with another script you have to set another letter. This will probably not result anything useful for those with cyrillic or asian scripts.
Turning on the option to ask to save every download here is not a good idea, it's better to keep off and turn off the option in Vivaldi settings.
If you turn this option on the Save button in download dialogue will work as Save As button. -
Keyboard Shortcuts for Extensions and Apps (Hotkeys):
chrome://chrome/extensions/configureCommands
Displays and allows editing of keyboard shortcut options for enabled extensions (not disabled ones).
In most cases I have checked the only option is a single shortcut to "Activate the extension", which is usually not set by default. However, one extension I tried has 7 keyboard shortcut options, 2 of which are set by default (The Great Suspender, not yet working in Vivaldi), and one other extension I tried displays no keyboard shortcut options at all (WordCaptureX).
I haven't yet tried any "Apps" that appear in these settings.

I tried to do this for the notes using Markdown, but the links does not work
[modedit] Removed dysfunctional URLs.
Typevivaldi://vivaldi-urls
in address field and you will get all the links you need.Vivaldi changes the chrome-urls to vivaldi-urls, which does not work. You have to right-click, copy link location and paste it in the addresbar.

@burbuja It's the best way to see the current ones
And probably some of these should be removed - this thread is quite old - I see BBcode
