@lamarca well, thing is the new tab page is empty, passwords and accounts did not update, extensions did not install, absolutely nothing synced
I had to install chrome, log into my chrome account, and sync my old chrome passwords and stuff, then had to import them to have anything....

@turbocaff Thanks. I will send the number to the Dev.
Now your issue lies on the team. -
@turbocaff
Usually the entries are merged, may you have doubles of bookmarks, passwords but if I remember correctly double entries was fixed some time ago.
I would save the default profile and or create a new one, disable sync for first profile and enable for second.
If sync work again you can rename the second as first.
Some info: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10388/refreshing-or-cleaning-your-profileCheers, mib

Hi @turbocaff ,
Looking at your original screenshot, it seems like Sync is in fact working and has obtained your data from the server. If you look at the
Total Entries
column in theType Info
section, you can see that it has for instance obtained 304 passwords, 24 sessions and 4 notes among other things.So, this is a very unexpected behavior as the issue seem to be with the rest of the browser not picking up on those. One quick check you can do is look at the Notes file in your profile folder to see if it has been populated with the 4 notes in question. You can also check whether the Bookmarks file in your profile contains the synced bookmarks.
If they are there, then it's possible that something prevented the UI to refresh and restarting Vivaldi might be enough to make them show up. Otherwise, the Types page of sync-internals might have some useful info and barring that, you should be able to dig through the Sync Node Browser to see what sync actually believes is there.
Another thing you can attempt is to simply log out of sync and log in again. It should force Vivaldi to re-obtain all the information on the server and merge it locally again, which should work if the original issue was caused by some temporary hiccup.
Let me know how it goes.
