Black screen in full screen video
-
Anybody else having problems with full screen video. Mine tends to go black as soon as the function bar in Youtube disappears and it becomes 'really' full screen. Had the same problem on other video sites too. Normal video for a few seconds and then 'poof' black screen, but still audio. As soon as i move the mouse and the play/pause button comes back in screen the video is back again. only to disappear after a few seconds again.

@stokki Same here. I haven't found a fix but I want to +1 the problem.
Notes:
-
It's been happening for roughly a month.
-
I used to watch YouTube videos fullscreen in Vivaldi with no issues so something changed, either in Vivaldi or in macOS or in YouTube.

Most but not all videos go black for me. Here is a video that goes black:

and here is one that works fine in fullscreen:

I have tried all of the following things with no success:
-
Waiting for updates to fix it (I've installed 2 or 3 updates since).
-
Restarting the browser after disabling all extensions, disabling HW acceleration, and disabling Vivaldi's built-in malicious content blocker.
-
Reinstalling Vivaldi and deleting the Vivaldi config under ~/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi .

Have tried clearing the cache?
Is this with the Vivaldi stable update that was released on July 19th? -
It happens for me too, once or twice a month. I think at least since Version 3 all the way to Version 4. I have encountered it only on youtube so far. All other open windows with different profiles continue to work fine, the video playback also is running but cannot be paused.
So far I only saw it happening on Windows. -
