Frequent Crashes/freezes (memory related?)
-
Using Windows 10 64 bit, and Vivaldi 2.5.1525.40, with 12GB RAM.
I find that Vivaldi frequently crashes - it's done it 4 or 5 times today. Sometimes it just closes and disappears. Sometimes it just stops responding. sometimes my screen goes black. Often as a precursor to this happening I get new tabs that won't load properly or birds. Sometimes an error message pops up, but often not.
I tend to have maybe 20-30 tabs open. It appears related to memory use because it happens more, or sooner, when I have another application open that uses a big chunk of RAM, but it's only Vivaldi that seems to experience big problems. As I type Windows resource manager says I have roughly 8GB Ram in use, 4GB standby and 300MB free.
Sometimes there are messages in the event log :

@mec1 , that does not sound good. Glad you have reported it so we can have a closer look. It might be useful if you upload crash logs as well with the bug report.
Cheers,
Jon. -
probably you'd better install the 64bit version instead of the 32bit version, and retry.
