Vivaldi default profile not customizable?
-
Hey there,
with the current update (2.4) the new feature to have profiles was added. But all i have there is "Profile 1" with no avatar. I already tried to set the name in my synched vivaldi account, logged out, logged in again, restarted several times...is there a way to rename this default profile somehow? I can't find a way. It's maybe just a detail, but a detail which is annoying me .__. Hope you can help me
Thanks in advance!

@Gwen-Dragon So...currently i have synced all my bookmarks since the beginning of using Vivaldi with this..."default profile". Are they bound to that? Or is it kinda hard to move it to a seperate, customizable profile? Like -> Export -> Switching profile -> Import?

@Gwen-Dragon said in Vivaldi default profile not customizable?:
Open chrome://settings/manageProfile and change it there.
That worked like charm! Thank you

Alright The feature is really nice as it is, the export between profiles is not really necessary. I only missed a rename/reconfiguration of the default profile via vivaldi directly. At least a chrome-hack is possible, good enough for me

Don't think there is a difference between the default profile and other profiles you create in functionality.
-
@Komposten The functionality was not my problem, only the appearance of it. Anything else works fine
-
@m4sc3r4de Then go the url @Gwen-Dragon mentioned and change it. ^^
-
@Komposten I did XD Only mentioned a nice-to-have vivaldi based method, not using a url-hack to the chromium base to do so. I'm a software developer, and knowing where the option is located is more than enough for me in the future. But some other people might also want to look into that to change it. Using the synched profile (name) and avatar would be convenient i think

@m4sc3r4de Yeah, there is still a lot of work to do. More accessible options, allow transparent backgrounds in the profile images (and custom images), apply the active theme to the profile window, etc.
