Can't drag browser window
-
I can't exactly seem to pinpoint the problem, but there are some moments where I want to drag the window around, but Vivaldi stays in the same place. I can resize the window and manipulate the tabs (I'm also in stacked mode if that's relevant), but I can't move the window by the mouse. If I also try to resize the window to a smaller size, the scaling for the search bar and extensions are out of place.

@dannyvo024 Right now, there are limited grab handles on the Vivaldi UI. The only place you can grab it appears to be the top title bar. Other grab locations that used to work will, no doubt, be rehabilitated as well.

Hi,
I'm also experiencing this problem. In my view, it's related to sleep/hibernation. If Vivaldi is running prior to the PC hibernating / sleeping, then afterwards Vivaldi's window cannot be moved by dragging the usual handle at the title bar. Note, that resize works, and there are also other ways move is working, like using Windows 10's [WIN]+left/right/up/down buttons; and also right clicking the app in the start bar / move is working. Just the dragging stops working. If Vivaldi is restarted, everything is working as it should be.
I hope this helps pinpoint where the issue could be. -
I have this problem too. But for me it's not related to sleep/hibernation.
I work with dual monitors. I move windows alot accross the two screen and sometimes Vivaldi can't be moved at all. I have to restart it.Otherwise, it the same as explained by zeroxx1986, you just can't drag any vivaldi windows.

In the latest snapshot I've been experiencing a similar issue when after manipulating tabs in a certain way (I've yet to narrow it down) I am unable to drag the window using the empty space on the tab bar.
(this is with native window off, to be clear)

Now that you mention it cedricl, I'm also using dual monitors. Today I've experienced the issue after I've undocked my laptop from the dual displays, and then re-attached it. Maybe this issue is related to this. (the hibernation/sleep then isn't the issue, but the display re-attach?)
It would be very good to hear some update on this issue, as it's quite annoying.. -
I have exactly the same problem, 3 monitors, windows 10 and it seems it could be related to after sleep mode, any solution ?
-
This literally just happened to me. I can't remember exactly what cause the issue. At some point before lunch I had moved a tab to a new window and moved it to my 2nd monitor, and it seemed to work fine. On coming back from lunch and some time later closing this second window, I found I could not move the first one around. My computer did not sleep in this time.
I did see when I opened the inspector that a
no-app-dragging
class had been applied to the browser, which seems like a very strange thing to have programmed.Selecting all tabs and moving them to a new window fixes the issue.

I have the same issue, but only on my laptop, not on my home desktop.
Key differences between the two devices are:

It's the default from the download button. To get 64-bit, you have to go to the downloads page, or specifically select it from one of the links on the blog announcement.
-
@Ayespy That is not my experience.
The default from the download page is the 64-bit version whether I visit the link in Vivaldi or Firefox.
-
@Pesala Whut? When did that change? It was 32-bit for the loooooooongest time!
-
@Ayespy They must have added a 32/64bit detection from the UA recently, in the past even on my Win10 64bit work PC I downloaded the 32bit installer. Now I can confirm the link for the button on the page gets generated depending on the bit depth of the OS in use, just tried now.
