Option to Confirm Window Close

@JoelYoung
OK. Try to close a window without closing its tabs! If you can do it, then we can continue this discussion. -

There is no purpose to continuing this debate, so I am bowing out. I'm sure a Web search will confirm what I say (and I don't mean from the amateurs at Yahoo Answers, lol)

@JoelYoung
Why did you even start this debate? -

Tabs are document windows within an application window.No. I have worked with computers since the late 90s, and was a Web developer until 2015. The correct terminology does not make a tab a window. They are two different things. I know that today's generations of users may say tabs are windows, but they are not. For someone like me, who thinks in terms of the correct and original nomenclature, when you say 'window', I do not think 'tab'.
Sorry, you're wrong. Nekomajin is stating exactly how Microsoft defined MDI in its original Windows specifications - and how Opera originally applied multiple pages in it's main window - and how most *NIX window managers worked since decades ago. They weren't called "tabs" back then, since they were actually more flexible, but then Firefox dumbed it down (no resizing or tiling) and wrongly called the page content a "tab" (which of course is actually the thing you click to get to that page).

@mossman I'd like to see documentation that supports that.

@mossman I'd like to see documentation that supports that.
"Each document in an multiple-document interface (MDI) application is displayed in a separate child window within the client area of the application's main window. Typical MDI applications include word-processing applications that allow the user to work with multiple text documents, and spreadsheet applications that allow the user to work with multiple charts and spreadsheets."

@mossman A child window is still a window. Yes, it stays within the parent window, moves with the parent, and closes when the parent is closed; but it is a window nonetheless. You can't drag it outside the parent. And then there are descendent windows (children of the childs). They still are windows, and are dependent on the original parent window. Everything is this scenario involves windows, not tabs.
Tabs, however, are not dependent on the window they are in (i.e., they can be dragged to other windows) because they are... not windows. And they're not simply maximized windows within a window because that would make them child windows, which we know have a different behavior in comparison.
In any case, for the purpose of this particular forum topic, which is about tabs, to refer to them as windows just muddies the water. The issue is confirm exit for multiple tabs, really, and would have made more sense to state it that way.

@JoelYoung I was just responding to correct you when you said he was wrong when he was right.
"Tabs" in browsers are just a simplified form of MDI document window. That is exactly how they started life in Opera which was the first mainstream browser to feature them.
I don't know why you keep moving the goalposts to continue arguing about it, and to be frank I haven't followed the discussion about closing tabs that started the whole thing, but on this one little point he is definitely right and you are definitely wrong.

@JoelYoung
Everyone you ask on this forum knows what a confirm exit feature is. You are the only one who plays with words. I don't really care, because it's funny how you contradict yourself with each comment, but don't you think it's getting a little awkward? -
@Nekomajin No idea where I contradict myself or change the goal posts as was also said. A window is a window, a tab is not a window.

@JoelYoung
OK, we get it. You have a different dictionary. Will you stop? -
This argument about Windows has become a distraction from the blog thread topic, so I have forked the posts to a new thread.
I searched quickly, but found no feature request for a warning on closing Windows, only for closing Vivaldi. If you cannot find one, please start a new topic in feature requests.
Edit: I found this mod to warn when closing windows
