1&1 pages not displaying correctly
-
Let me start off by saying I love Vivaldi and it is my default browser.
However, some pages will not load properly.
For example, the 1&1 account pages just will not open as expected.
In this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/lq2dbf You can see what is expected on the right and what Vivaldi puts up on the left.
So I need to ask...
Is anyone else having (or had) this problem on 1&1 or other sites?
What might I be doing wrong (all cookies enabled)?
Thanks

It looks fine to me without logging in.

Hi Dan and welcome,
for me this looks as it should - at least comparing it to your screenshot.
I tested this with vivaldi 2.2.1373.4 (32bit) on win 7 (64bit)So it would be good to get a bit more infos about your system and setup
1.) What windows version do you use?
2.) What Vivaldi version do you use? (yo can look this up atvivaldi://about
or click on the menu->help->about)
3.) What extensions do you have installed?
4.) When you open a new private window (press "Ctrl+Shift+N") and go there to the 1&1 page is it still broken?
5.) What security software do you have installed? (like firewall, antivir, etc.) -

Thanks for responding.
1.) What windows version do you use?
Windows 10 ~2.) What Vivaldi version do you use? (yo can look this up at vivaldi://about or click on the menu->help->about)
- 2.1.1337.51 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
3.) What extensions do you have installed?
- the same as in my chrome browser...- Adblock Plus
- Avast Online Security
- Grammarly for Chrome
- OneTab
- Save to Pocket
- uBlock Origin
- Wikiwand
4.) When you open a new private window (press "Ctrl+Shift+N") and go there to the 1&1 page does it still is broken?
- Oh that's interesting... it's not broken when using a private window!
5.) What security software do you have installed? (like firewall, antivir, etc.)
- Avast Anti-virus
- Windows defender

@Gwen-Dragon
Thanks Gwen-Dragon
I did wonder if that might be the case.
Even with both of these and Avast extensions removed it made no difference as you can see with this screenshot:
http://prntscr.com/lq71oy
You can see why I'm puzzled

@Gwen-Dragon
Good advice thank you.
It appears its the Avast Online Security extension 18.3.56 causing the problem. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/avast-online-security/gomekmidlodglbbmalcneegieacbdmki
Which is strange as it doesn't cause the same problem in the chrome browser itself - so I'm still puzzled.
Thanks

@DanDotCarey Avast does not treat all browsers the same. It is known, over time, to treat Vivaldi as a possible infection, because the authors of Avast basically refuse to recognize Vivaldi as a valid browser.

Thank you for all your help everyone. I've learned something new from this as well as resolving my problem.
Keep up the good work Vivaldi.

I observed this as well. The later comments saying that Avast (or other antivirus settings) is the culprit didnt work for me, and I think this is reasonable as Vivaldi private window is still Vivaldi.
Hope someone can help resolve this.

@kareem79
Hi, this thread is 3 years old, do you still have problems with 1&1 pages?
I was a long term 1&1 user and never had problems to log in or anything but I changed to Vodafone some month ago and cant test anymore.Cheers, mib

Haha, tbf my landing on this page was regarding pages not displaying correctly in general - not really about 1&1 specifically.
I found a solution that worked for me- deleting the cache at tools>delete browsing data> and selecting cookies and cache.

Not nice to hijack a thread.
deleting the cache at tools>delete browsing data
Or a forced reload of web page with Ctrl+Shift+R or Ctrl+F5 can help.

@doctorg Relax - the OP DanDotCarey literally said - "Is anyone else having (or had) this problem on 1&1 or other sites?". Hardly a hijacking

@kareem79 I apologize for calling you off-topic.
