Mouse Wheel Tab-change
-
Personally my most used feature in Opera was Right-click + Mouse wheel to change between Tabs and I'd like to see this implemented in Vivaldi, no other browser does it properly than old versions of Opera. Hopefully this is possible to implement so I can switch to Vivaldi when it goes stable, thank you very much.

Strongly agree. It's the primary reason I still use Opera 12 over any other browser.

An ability to have same behaviour with a trackpad would also be good, for example modifier key + trackpad scroll.

/signed - MRU + tab-list accessible on rclick+mousewheel

Good idea, and as they're trying to make browser where you never have to lift your fingers from keyboard they could also make like Shift + Arrow keys and you get the Tab menu you can see which tab you want switch to and when you let go of Shift it enters that tab just like with Right click + Mouse wheel.
I love using my mouse though for all things that don't require keyboard in browsing the internet so I hope they cater to us mouse-users too. -
Just bumping the thread for some visibility.
If dev sees this would be nice to know if this is something you might consider adding or if it isn't possible at all. -
A browser where you never have to lift your fingers from your keyboard, now that sounds like a really excellent idea.
-
I am not the one to "never let my hand leave the keyboard". I still find this idea intriguing, but personally I do the opposite: let my hand never leave the mouse and never move around too much.
This said, the most important feature for me is Right-Mouse-Button-Scroll-Tab-Switch (preferrably with tab list). To quote some lesser-known series:
When you can't run, you crawl, and when you can't crawl …
I had to move from opera to firefox, and managed to get it crawling with lots of custmizing and extensions, but it seems I find a new browser here to carry me. Thank you.

In Opera 12, Ctrl-Tab showed a list for as long as Ctrl was held down. That's what I'd expect them to do here.

You're right, just tried it. Kinda funny how I never noticed that but just shows how much I'm using the mouse while browsing.
Really hope they add this feature! -
+9001 this and Right-click and Cursor down for new tab open.

Also if possible make it work everywhere even on flash videos and Silverlight and others, Maybe add option to turn it partially off in case someone wants to use right mouse button in flash games etc. -

Would be better to just change the tab, not some preview with small images you can't make anything out of.
-
Totally agree with the idea.
-
I strongly wish for that, too.
A further improvement would be the ability to dynamically chose in which order the tabs are cycled through: In the order of last display, or the order of the tab bar. Toggling for example by middle mouse button. -

It's a killer feature for me. I'll switch to Vivaldi from Opera 12 as soon as this feature get implemented. -
widget made an edit in vivaldi to be able to do that I think.

the thread is hereIt's not exactly what I'd like to have…
- Tab cycling goes regardless currently selected "Tab cycling order" option and only in the direct tab order.
- Vertical list of icons and titles from Opera 12 is much more usable than horizontal list of tabs previews because it's more compact and you can see whole titles here.
I suppose that this feature is not for js-tweaking but for Vivaldi project because it should be consistent with Ctrl+Tab cycling.

bump. it is still not implemented(
disregard please. I've found it( -
@razor79 It was implemented a while ago. Go to: vivaldi://settings/tabs/ and under "TAB FEATURES" check "Switch Tabs by Scrolling" to switch tabs using RMB+scroll. You can also check "Show Tab Cycler" to see which tab you're switching to.
