Snapshot 1.15.1147.19: Lazy Load Restored Tabs not Working
-
After update browser loaded all existing tabs despite "Lazy load restored tabs" feature being turned on.
Also this caused 100% CPU load because every open tab produced 100% thread load. -
@danil1404 Confirmed, seems a regression in 1.15.1147.19 snapshot. I had 2 youtube tabs and they clearly loaded (but not autostarted) even if the tab with this forum was active on restart after update.
-
@danil1404 This appears to be happening to me as well.

^On Windows 10 now, but everything else is the same -
@rtkamb time for you to update, it has been fixed in at least 2 latest snapshots and it's working in 1.15 stable aswell.
-
@ian-coog I just updated, tried to update again, downloaded the exe from vivaldi.net and reinstalled. Not sure what else to do. Still getting max cpu usage and a plethora of instances of Vivaldi in my task manager. Tried to delete the "Top Sites" file in my user data folder, and turn on "Override software rendering list". Nothing has fixed it.
-
@rtkamb Just a stupid sounding question but I still ask as you didn't say anything about it and there were some similar problems in the past with options switching itself off.
Did you disabled and re-enabled the lazy load option after the last update? -
@zaibon Thanks for the response. I did go in and try to disable and re enable it to see what happened, but that didn't fix it either.
-
My "Lazy load" problem is somewhat different than yours.
I have Lazy Load enabled and when I open V with multiple tabs carried over it loads correctly - only the active tab is loaded. BUT if I open several links into a 2nd V window ALL of them load.
This was true for me in 1.4 stable (x32) and it's true for me now that i'm using 1.15.1147.32 (x32) snapshot on my 2 Win7-64 machines so it's not a brand new issue (for me).
