save browser settings
-
Hi, I am planning to make a new installation on my PC.
I wonder if I can save my Vivaldi browser settings like windows and tabs which are opened now so I can load them again in Vivaldi after having updated my PC?Thanks,
Ton.

Hi, move/copy your profile directory "default" to a USB stick or similar and after setup your new system copy it back.
I am not sure if saved passwords a working with a new system but all other should work, provided the same Vivaldi version.
You can save the whole /home directory and all is working after reinstall.
Btw. Opensuse store /home in a separate partition, I can reinstall, upgrade or whatever and I am back in business in 20 minutes.Cheers, mib

I am not sure I understand, I use Linux Mint.
But I will give it a try though I do not find anything called Vivaldi in /home.
I am not that familiar with operating systems.
About the profile directory, where do I find it?Thanks for help,
Ton.

@vissertw if you want only save Vivaldi settings; Profile Path is published in File > Help > About.
The .config directory is hidden.Cheers, mib
