Incompatible Browser and/or User-Agent Issue
-
Hello again everyone. I've got a new issue. I regularly take surveys through different survey sites which use different survey routers and lately I've been having an issue where the router takes me to a survey where I'll get this error message:
"Incompatible Browser This exercise does not support your current configuration. Sorry, we currently do not support your browser on your OS. The supported browsers on your OS are: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge Cookies are enabled. Operating System supported. Detected browser: Vivaldi. Currently not supported."
For a while I was able to use the following extension to work around it:
User Agent Switcher, URL sniffer 0.9.3.9
This extension can switch the user agent of a browser. and it allows you to find all HTTP URLs.but then it quit working as even though I'd clear cookies, History and Private Data the survey would still give the same message recognizing that I was using Vivaldi. So I tried a couple other User Agent Switchers but I get the same message.
I thought I needed a user-agent with updated browser versions but like I said I don't know what I need.
Does anyone know if there is any way around this? Thanks again! Amanda

@miraclemandi write to the maintainer of that site, if they support Opera, there is no reason to not add Vivaldi too. They simply have a limited array of "supported" (or in better words, tested) browsers. These checks are simply cutting out users, and probably unneeded.
Also, user agent switchers are known to be not working on 1.14, they are back working in current 1.15 snapshots. -
