Cant open youtube (dead bird)

@lamarca everything causes Vivaldi to crash, even opening youtube.com itself.
-
@luucasv Perhaps an extension, if you have any. Can you start Vivaldi from terminal:
vivaldi-snapshot --user-data-dir="/tmp/TEST-VIV"
It's like a clean install, (it just run, does not really install)
if the page still crashes, it is not Vivaldi related -

I have no extensions, just installed Vivaldi was about to try it. -
@luucasv Crashes on the first run of Vivaldi. That might be related to your platform, as I said above it's not Vivaldi related. Perhaps Gwen has a clue, she will be online sooner.

@lamarca Thank you!

@luucasv Anytime. You can try the local Ubuntu Fórum and tell them about this topic.

@gwen-dragon The user sent me a Chat. He is from Brasil.
He didn't told me the way chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra was installed:
It could be via UI or shell. In case of shell, which command "apt get install" or "dpkg -i"
Looking at their forum, there are many threads about chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra:
chromium-browser-l10n
chromium-browser
They use *dpkg" command in 8 out of 10 threads. His system must be broken. -

I do not get ny crahs on Ubuntu 16 LTS and 17.10 with Vivaldi Stable 1.13.
If you start vivaldi in shell:
vivaldi --user-data-dir="/tmp/V-TEST" https://www.youtube.com/
are there error messages in shell?
Please copy and paste here with code fence format (3 backticks, text, 3 backticks i.e.:$ vivaldi-snapshot --user-data-dir="/tmp/V-TEST" https://www.youtube.com/ ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.

@gwen-dragon Yes
That's my conclusion: your system is completely broken.
I suggest you to install it from the scratch. Two people tried all the possibilities and still you got crashes. -
@gwen-dragon It didn't work either.
-
How much RAM do you have?
-
As @lamarca recommended, I just reinstalled my OS. Now it works perfectly.
Thank you for all the help -
