Sudden crash
-
Been using Vivaldi for a while, since I saw it featured on BBC Click in fact, no issues.
Until this evening, when Vivaldi suddenly just closed itself. I reopened it, only for the same thing to happen a few minutes later. Tried a few more times, same result. Rebooted computer, keeps happening. Uninstalled and reinstalled, keeps happening.Any ideas why, and how to stop it?

@quaestiodraconis please submit a bug report here to help devs. Seems I got the same problem tho.

@quaestiodraconis What Vivaldi version number are you using?

@quaestiodraconis Uninstalling/installing does not help as the data is stored in the user info.
Check whether you have "Start with last Session" activated in Tools/Startup - if so disable it.
In order to reset everything, refresh your profile:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10388/refreshing-or-cleaning-your-profileIf you do wish to write a bug report as @Marko-indaco suggested, be sure to specify your Operating system and Vivaldi version.

@Ayespy 1.12.

@quaestiodraconis OK. So you are using the Stable version. There are no known crashers associated with that one, so you need to start off by refreshing your profile. If that doesn't work (it should) then we can look at video drivers, etc.

Refreshing profile seems to have worked, though one of the files containing my user data (not an extensions file or folder) seems to have caused the crash, as it was fine when left without the files, but when added it crashed.
I'm going to try and work out which one, just by adding them one at a time until the issue occurs again, mostly for my own curiosity but also in case it helps anyone else
