Save Passwords?
-
I thought it was time to save passwords but I can't find the option anymore when using
"vivaldi://settings/passwords". Trying "vivaldi://chrome/settings/passwords" results in
"chrome://chrome/settings/passwords ....ERR_INVALID_URL"What am I missing?
Regards
Andreas -
Thanks, but no avail. No export/import option.

Saving passwords in the browser is bad and not secure
The passwords are here :
~/.config/vivaldi/Default/Login\ Data
Crazy, on my KDE desktop - this file is more or less unreadeable. If I look in KWallet(Manager) - vivaldi was listed as allowed apps and inside I can find in the entry "Chrome Form Data" the passwords (some in the "pairs" tree and most in "binary data" tree (remark - "" = free translated from German version) . Inside you can find (usr,)webpage subtree with the binary information which includes also password and other informations which are stored in detected forms.

look at
vivaldi://settings/privacy/ -
I believe Chrome has removed the password import/export functionality.
Even if you enable the flagchrome://flags/#password-import-export
it is not available inchrome://settings/passwords
Although I save passwords within vivaldi so I can autologin to websites, I always save passwords
in KeepassX first.
If you're using a gnome distro with seahorse you can use a python script to dump your passwords.
https://github.com/mnagel/gnome-keyring-dumper/blob/master/gnome-keyring-dumper.py
Requires the packagepython-gnomekeyring

@cantankrus Chromium did remove that feature, but is in the process of replacing it. We should soon see its return.

@gwen-dragon
Great ... Thx for the info. -
Use ChromePass (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/chromepass.html) to export passwords (as csv, KeePass csv , xml, ...).

@Gwen-Dragon Thanks for the information. I thought I may have messed something up when I noticed the Import button missing. At least I know it is getting fixed. Thanks Again.

@stilgarwolf Please wake up, dear!
Sorry, nobody wants to install WINE to start Windows programs on Linux.
Actually, I would love to be able to use this app (ChromePass) with Wine but I am not sure how to set it up.
