How to export just the speed dial setup?
-
Hi. I want to reinstall the system and I think something has been messed up in Vivaldi settings. So I would like a clean instal of Vivaldi.
However I do really need to keep my speed dial settings (bookmarks, pages etc.).
I know the setting are located in:
c:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\However I cant't figure out which are the speed dial ones.
Can you help?

@martinezz123 "Speed Dial" is a simple Bookmarks flag, so they are in the bookmark file.
See backup information at https://help.vivaldi.com/article/full-reset-of-vivaldi -
So the speed dial settings are in:
c:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Bookmarksfile with no extension?

Hi, overwrite your new bookmark file with your old one and all speed dials, bookmarks are there.
Or use export bookmarks from file menu and import it in your new installed Vivaldi.CHeers, mib

Hi. Thanks. I have overwritten the Bookmark file and the speed dial have restored fine.
However there are no thumbnails. I have got a lot folders inside folders and pages so restoring them maually is not the case. And F5 restored only thumbnails for plain bookmarks - not for the folders.
So:
Where in that backup from "c:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Vivaldi" are THUMNAILS stored? So that I could overwrite them. -
@martinezz123 The Top Sites file stores Speed Dial thumbnails fetched from the web. Custom thumbnails are stored wherever on the hard drive the browser found them. Unfotunately, there is no way at present to inform the new install of Vivaldi where to look for custom thumbnails all at once. These have to be newly selected, one at a time.

YEAH!!:) That's it.
Thanks alot. -
