PDF crashes (dead-bird thumbnail) when printing or saving
-
Greetings,
When I open a PDF inside Vivaldi, and then try to save it or print it (using the upper right-hand icons on the bar just above the PDF document), this causes the page to crash (it shows a dead bird thumbnail).
Also, it seems that some PDFs of larger size will also cause the page to crash while the PDF document is being downloaded for display. Here is an example: https://www.devry.edu/d/US_Catalog.pdf
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I cannot reproduce with the link you provided, I have viewed it, and clicking on save and print icons does what they're supposed to do, no crash.

Odd, I checked Vivaldi for the latest updates and it says, "You're up to date! Vivaldi 1.11.917.39 is currently the newest version available." (The problem was also occurring before I installed the update, and I was hoping that with the update it would be resolved.)I am on Windows 10, 64 bit.
Vivaldi 1.11.917.39 (Stable channel) (32-bit)How do you get Vivaldi 1.12.936.3? Perhaps with that version the issue will be resolved?

you have the last stable, these are work in progress updates, "betas" if you prefer.
I never found any reason to keep older version, for me even a beta is better than the older, even if declared stable, version. The fixes are enough to justify an update. -

Thanks. I've now updated my version of Vivaldi :
Vivaldi 1.12.936.3 (Official Build) (64-bit)Unfortunately the problem is still occurring on my end.
Any suggestions of what I should check for on my installation that could be causing this?
Thanks!

@areacode514
Do you copied all your settings and data from the stable version to the snapshot version or did you start with a new fresh profile in the snapshot version?
If you copied your data you could try to refresh your profile and afterwards copy back data from your old profile one by one to see what breaks the pdf printer.Btw in the meantime you can still bypass the problem with the printer crash by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + P" to open the system print dialogue.

Hi everyone,
I updated to version 1.12.941.3 (Official Build) (64-bit), and the problem no longer seems to occur. I was able to successfully download and print without the page crash.
Thanks again for your suggestions!
