Vivaldi video problems

I know, but using the bugreport you'll let the devs know. They don't usually read the forum as they're busy fixing and updating vivaldi everyday.

Happens on 9gag.com too. Videos just stops randomly. Spamming refresh might fix it sometimes.
Do you guys have any extensions installed? I have Ghostery and adblock plus. -
Some videos on Imgur and Instagram also won't play properly.

I'm using snapshot version but it also happens on stable for me.

Just wanna note that latest stable version to date still suffers from these issues. After I made this post I was using one of the first 1.9 versions and videos such as on Liveleak worked normally. (Twitch still had issue sometimes showing that strange flash-related message) now I accidentally updated to the most recent one and nothing works again.

I have the same trouble. I had this before (about 6 months ago), then I reinstalled Vivaldi (full user files/cfg reset) and it helped. But now I'm having the same issue and it pisses me off... I have to use another browser for twitch and other video services.
Video just stops at some point, and nor turning off all extensions, nor refreshing page doesn't help.
FYI I have about 80 tabs opened, perhaps it somehow interrelated. -
Update 1.11.901.3 fixed this issue for me. I haven't had video problems since.

mkay looking forward to 1.11 stable

Looks like 1.11.904.3 snapshot fixed at least video clips issues on twitch. That's great!

yes it fixed issue with clips on twitch and videos on liveleak. But I am still getting message that says "flash backend not found" on twitch from time to time. As i mentioned before, the player is html5, not flash, this is why this message makes no sense. This particular issue can go away by page reloading and more likely to go away on browser restart. But it is not permanent and after some time issue reappears.
I have never seen this issue outside of twitch.tv (does not mean there are none though). Perhaps there is some conflict with twitch's fallback mechanism (to flash) or something? Maybe that's even an issue with their site that is somehow not seen in other browsers? If so, some developer should contact them (otherwise message will likely be ignored). -
@Gwen-Dragon I only have firefox flash plugin, which should be in no way related to the flash in blink-based browsers. This is exactly the issue from what I see. It tries to load flash player, but since I don't have ppapi flash it fails. The question here is, why sometimes it tries to load flash.
So whatever Vivaldi must bundle flash player or fix this in some other way. I have nothing to uninstall and even if I had that's not a solution. -
This topic is quite old, but I have been battling these problems on and off for half a year on Linux - now it seems I can switch to snapshot for a day until Facebook/Liveleak/GIFV videos stop working, and when I switch back to stable it is magically working but does the same after a few days. Then again back to snapshot which works for a day or two etc... Any ideas on how to fix this are welcome!
