Desktop notifications as Firefox
-
Hello,
Let me introduce you the context.
We are going to discuss about notification, to simplify the process, let's say we works only with Gmail, and we have Firefox and Vivaldi opened on Gmail.
Both have desktop notifications allowed and activatedOn Firefox, desktop notification are using notify-send, which is the notification program from my system (i'm using xfce, dunno if related). That the way to go. I can customize it, for example I can set notifications to the right top corner of my screen.
On Vivaldi (seems same with Chrome), I can't configure anything, there is strickly 0 configuration. That use i don't know what to send notifications, that come from the space, I really have no control on it and no idea, really no idea how to manage it. It's full white and ugly, located on right bottom (but sometimes it's displaying near the middle of the screen, for no reason). Ok, notifications have to be useful, at the moment it's just a pain. Then, here I have 3 questions :
- Is there a way to use notifysend, I mean use system / desktop notifications.
- Should I open a suggestion in the suggestion list?
- I have not found anything on the web, i can't believe to be alone on this case...
