[Resolved] Installed Standalone Vivaldi, suffer from occasional sign out from all my signed-in accounts
-
the title makes it clear
anyone solved this issue? -
Hi, not clear for me.
There is no portable Vilvaldi, do you meant standalone?
If you copy a standalone to another Windows system passwords and extensions doesn´t work.
Even with same user name you have a different user ID.
We all wait for sync for Vivaldi.Cheers, mib

Yup, Standalone sorry.
I thought the same, so I downloaded vivaldi again and installed it as standalone.
at the same path, so it can update or fix whatever going there.
still have the same issue and It's pretty annoying specially with sites that require two-factor authentication -
@intel It's about how Chromium stores user data in Windows... it takes your user name but also some key from the Windows user profile - so whenever you try to use that Vivaldi data in any other setup it will break all the passwords and extension data.
I can use a profile from my USB key and it will keep that data if I always plug it in to the same PC with the same user. If you still have problems when you ONLY use it on one system and username, then maybe something else in your Windows profile is changing between sessions.
This is why mib2berlin mentions synchronisation - once Vivaldi has sync, the information will be stored somewhere else and can update the local user data wherever you run it.

Thanks guys, I figured it out .. while I was calm and thinking of what I did to deserve this
I played in the settings making the cookies for the session only -
