1.7.735.46 (Stable channel) dev (64-bit): Bugfixes?
-
My Update Manager surprised me ~30' ago. As well as offering me the new 1.7 Stable, it also offered me this so-far unheralded new SS. I'm notoriously unobservant, but so far i've not noticed any particular changes, other than Chrome/56.0.2924.88. Nothing in the Blog about it yet; will go stream some NF & come back later to look for the imminent [i assume] Blog update to explain whatever's new. Anyone else already got it & spotted any new stuff?

I got the update as well.
The only thing I noticed is that my Vivaldi menu button is red instead of the usual black colour for snapshots.
-
@Steffie I'm guessing your title should refer to Snapshot and NOT stable!?
The Stable changes ARE in the blog. -
@dLeon Yes. But I think Steffie is asking about a SnapShot changelog from 1.7.735.39 to 1.7.735.46.
Edit: Just tried Windows and the Snapshot version 1.7.735.39 does NOT have an update available. Maybe a slight hiccup with Linux Snapshot release!?

@TbGbe -- hi, uh uh, nope, i meant what i wrote. Last night via Update Manager i received the new 1.7 Stable, AND an unexpected new SS, whose details i copied & pasted verbatim from About. In fact, here's now all of it fyi [& btw, as @ugly pointed out but i missed last night, my SS V icon is now red not black -- weird? / error?]

@Steffie: Oops, something wrong with the repos there from the looks of things. The .46 version should have been the regular Linux stable. Frequently Linux gets a build which is one decimal higher than Windows.
-
@Ayespy -- aha. Should those of us whom received this apparent error now do anything, eg, roll back to the previous SS... or just wait for correction with the next proper SS? I'm more than happy to simply wait, as long as the current error will not in any way prejudice the efficacy of the next update.
-
@Steffie: I dunno. Wait and see what happens when the next snapshot comes out I guess...
-
@Ayespy -- ok. Ya know, what really annoys me most of all about this situation is not that my SS now has a red V icon, but that it does not have a purple icon. Now that would be just lovely...
-
@Steffie As I tried to say in the edit, I got an update to both Stable and Snapshot (same as @dLeon ). The Snapshot did not give me a changelog.
I also now have a red logo in the Snapshot version.
Strangely the OS menu logo (linux Mint 18.1 Kde) for the Stable is circular Red Icon, whereas the Snapshot still has the squares logo.Have to wait and see what happens next.
