Into giving Vivaldi a custom look? 😎

I would prefer the vertical tab bar if I hadn't already reserved this place of honor for the sidebar (panel).
Even if the tab bar is opposite, the space in between is a bit too narrow for some websites. That's why I keep the tabs in the horizontal bar.

Interesting concept. But... where would you have extensions? Zoom controls if enabled?

Having the show/hide panel icon on the panel toolbar won't work if it's closed, so you need to use a keyboard shortcut to open it.

Otherwise 80% of that is doable just using the built-in options. Only thing that would need some work is the workspaces as separate icons, the tab bar moving below the navigation bar, and adding icons to the tab bar.

If you're happy with a right side tab bar, then it's 90% there except for the two extra icons you want on it.

@LonM I"m not aware you can sync with IOS or android fully so that the main OS apps are no longer needed. I tried syncing on windows and a Mac and gave up in frustration. It would be that Vivialdi sync automatically (or after answering a few questions)
the GOAL would be... when Vivaldi could sync data seamlessly across all platforms with the core communication apps (mail, contacts, calendar,and the host use functionality os no longer required.

usability is the key. it make syncing and app use easier in single cross platform app. there is also a host a integration needs such as phone dealing from contacts that would be needed.

I don't think Vivaldi provides that seamless data integration at present. mobile and desktop needs differ greatly.

... and it turns out the trick is to give one of the set elements an id, I picked the one for the green light to come on and called it go; then begin="0s;go.begin+6s" makes it repeat and the others can be given begin="go.begin+2s" and similar for 4s, to make working traffic lights:

A couple suggestions since you're still learning the GIMP:

Rotate the V logo on Michael so that it fits with his posture and make it slightly smaller. Placing the Google logo (or another) inside the eyes of the demon/devils eyes would fit nicely. Add enough opacity so the eyes still show through. Try to avoid the hard contrast of the V logo in the last picture (caused by the lens flare?), and get a better quality logo from here: https://vivaldi.com/press/
