LastPass extension crashes Vivaldi

Anyone know a fix for the LastPass extension causing Vivaldi to crash each time you click the LastPass icon in the browser?

Just FYI...
Vivaldi crashes every time I try to use LastPass.
Removed the LP extension; will reload it and try again.It was working fine this morning; then all of a sudden, crash-crash-crash!!
Notes: No crash in Chrome or Firefox. So far, so good. Seem to be only Vivaldi.

I confirm this bug too, just tried LastPass and instantly crashes Vivaldi when I try to open the plugin's settings or account settings. Can we expect a fix or status update for this?

Hello. Just wanted to confirm, that I sent a Bug Report and Vivaldi contacted and said it will be fixed next patch. Meantime, it works in Vivaldi as long as you don't open the Vault. Use Chrome if you have to use the Vault.And, also fyi, I found that if i turn 'Off' the LastPass extension, in the Extensions page; it remembers its last state and then i don't have to keep putting in the password. Just sayin'.

@Wolfee Thank you for your confirmation, I guess we can expect an update in the future. I'll check the changelogs and see how it goes...
(It's pretty ironic though that I just wanted to try LastPass today for the first time and ran into this issue right off) -
For what it's worth; I've been a LastPass user since... 10+ years(?); long time. I really like LP.

This issue is now open for quite a while.
Since I have no problem using LP with another browser, it seems to be a Vivaldi issue.
Soon I will give up going back to Vivaldi when another browser is open.
It would make me sad, but, a browser has to just work these days -

I feel what you're saying; however, Vivaldi has been a good workhorse except for the very recent crashing on opening of the LP Vault. I've been using Vivaldi for years, and this is the first real issue I've had with it.As long as I can get to my LP Vault thru Chrome; I'm not ready to give up on them just yet. Meantime, LP still works (just don't press the Vault button).

Still crashing for me. 5.7.2921.60 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
I only figured out this morning that LastPass was the culprit. In addition to the crashes, when clicking the LP icon on the toolbar it will sometimes go into a perpetual spinning wheel mode. This is "fixed" by turning the extension off/on.Another Vivaldi problem for me, included here in case it's related, is that Vivaldi will crash immediately after opening it. I have discovered a workaround: if I right-click Vivaldi and open a private window, both the private window and normal window open. I can then close the private window and the normal one remains.
I am a longtime Vivaldi and LastPass user and hope this conflict can be resolved.

UPDATE: I have now encountered another Lastpass problem in Vivaldi which does not occur in other browsers. I can no longer depend on the search within lastpass (via the extension icon on the toolbar, not in the vault, which I can't use at all). I will search for what I know exists, and the result I seek is not listed. Works fine in other browsers, so it's not my LP database.
I love Vivaldi, but depend heavily on Lastpass, so this is a sad situation. Like other users here, I have necessarily started using other browsers, and have begun wondering if any could be a viable substitute for Vivaldi.

As soon as I try to open LastPass Vault, or just trying to change LastPass settings, Vivaldi closes immediately. Clean reinstall of Vivaldi and disabling all extensions doesn’t help.

@DoctorG I just tried 5.8.2950.3 and it's not crashing for me with that. It is still regularly crashing with last release (5.7.2921.60).

Hi, the fix for the bug VB-95403 is not in the latest stable.
We hope to get this fix in one of the next 5.7 stable updates.
I am not sure about the 5.8 snapshot but it seams so.Cheers, mib

Still crashing immediately under 5.8.2970.3 64bit when open LastPass 4.111.0 'Extension settings'. I'm pretty disapointed now, it's been a month since the bug was discovered...
