One of those "if the guy is dying, then try anything" things, they're blowing it out of proportion here. I don't believe it'll do anything (and for all we know the judge might feel the same). If a doctor prescribed it (which one did), they shouldn't just say no. It's on the prescribing doctor if it goes wrong.

@guigirl I guess I can just wait for wlroots 0.15, so it isn’t such a big problem for me [hopefully]. On the other hand, if Wayfire fails to build even right after wlr 0.15 update, with all its subprojects being -git or as a part of the wf build tree, it might sign something about my competence…

@guigirl Well, uh, Finnish is one of the languages I want to learn if I ever get to them through the ones me lazybone is stuck at. But hey, almost every language has some weirdness like that; look at English with its 42 zillion tenses & phrasal verbs & whatnot, yet still it’s easy [enough].

I ‘want’ to learn a lot of languages and just for the fun of knowing them (i.e. I’m not likely to use them), so I guess it’s more like ‘huh, cool’ than long-time deep interest.

There is a certain user who edits their posts so many times so often that I need to a) keep the topic open, or b) come back after 15+ minutes since their last post, to keep my calm & not get mad from the notifications. How do you handle this situation?

Or simply, @npro, could you please read your posts before sending them, and if you happen to edit your posts, make all the changes in a single edit?

Speaking of Windows, I was just reading on Slashdot that Microsoft's attempt to add ads for Teams to the Windows 11 preview was causing it to crash.

First of all, why should MS have ads in an OS that you pay to have on your system - or are the ads only in the free update version? Second, they need to work on quality control. Not that this is news to anyone here, but it needed to be said.
