setting mailx {send to Vivaldi account}
-
hi all
i've found some scripts for my debian server, which use mailx in order to send an email for every login attempt, but i've found nowhere how to set mailx to send emails with an smtp and surroundings:
can anyone help me to make mailx use my [email protected] to send emails ?
thank you -
@Gwen-Dragon
sorry for late reply, but i cannot recover my nas ip, so i've made a test with home pc, a debian testing
i wroteecho "blablabla" | mailx -s "ALERT" [email protected]
i've tried with a gmail account as well but i received nothing: should i modify some configuration in order to let mail x to know which smtp, which imap and etc use?

@Gwen-Dragon
i've reconfigured exim4
mails reach gmail account, though they always end up in spam
while vivaldi seems to not be reached at all: can you give me any other hint for mailx? -
it took me a while to find the xmail log, however this is the last attempt:
