Tips on searching from address bar
-
I'm fairly new to Vivaldi after being on Chrome for years. I like it overall with one major caveat: It's slower to search/access a site from the address bar. From Chrome I just need to enter
es
and then it fills inpn.com
and I go to one of my most visited sites. It's almost instantaneous. In Vivaldi there's a noticeable pause before I get the
pn.com
and can hit enter. Other times it brings up sites I haven't visited nearly as often as ESPN. I'm puzzled as this is inefficient. Is there a way I can have Vivaldi act like Chrome when searching from the address bar? Thanks for any suggestions.

If you bookmark your frequently visited pages, they’ll be suggested much faster. Also, have a look at settings → Address bar → Address auto-complete & Address field drop-down menu, just to ensure that it’s how you want.

Thanks much. I tweaked the settings a bit and it's better, but still not as fast as Chrome.
