Best Horror Movies

What is your favorite scary film? I'd like to make a movie list to enjoy with my sis this Sunday.
-
@Yuersam What sort of age range are you and your sis?
Don't want to make any suggestions that would be too much. For example, I watched Signs (2002) when I was pretty young ( maybe some age around 7-9 ), and I thought that was the scariest movie in the world. And then at around 13-15, I watched Paranormal Activity (2007) and yet again thought I had found peak scary.
Now, in my mid 20's and can watch Signs without a hint of being scared and only have to momentarily contemplate adding a locking latch to my attic access ladder when watching Paranormal Activity
So, in conclusion, what sort of viewers are going to be watching these movies? I also tend to favor Sci-Fi movies, so is there any sort of sub-genre you might want?

I am not really into the gore side of these films as in most cases it is not needed.
Now the legend of hell house is quite a scary haunted house film,It is an old british film but is the "scariest" film i have ever seen, has a very high feeling of unease.
Some old hammer films are quite good..like i say i am not a fan of gore.

@Yuersam If you like things like Lustmord vs. Happy Pencil, you should give Event Horizon a chance.
-
@Yuersam I don't like scary movies (because they are SCARY) but The Autopsy of Jane Doe is nice!
-
Asylum with robert powell is an old english horror if you like.quite suspenseful and has the lovely britt ekland starring too..1972 i believe was the release date.

Real-life is a Horror Story
Not a documentary, but a dramatisation based on real events.

Any film from the old british company hammer may be interesting.
From dracula to tales of the crypt.old stuff is sometimes the best.

True. If you don't mind a lot of cheesy acting the Sci-Fi/Horror collection on the Internet Archive is gold:
