[SOLVED] Vivaldi Teams huge memory
-
Hello,
I am writing to you because I am Fans of Vivaldi and I wonder about the use that I have of it.
Indeed for several months, I have noticed slowness from the browser and the 1st faulty seems to be Teams.
I have a Win10 PC, 8G RAM, Proc i5 2,4Ghz.Initially, I was using Teams through the heavy client, then finding it slow and consuming, I thought that using the web would be better.
I even would have liked to do it via a shortcut web application.
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/49595/vivaldi-crΓ©er-un-raccourci-web
Finally I can't do it
What do you think of this previous image?
If I kill the tweetdeck panel process, the little bird is on the ground XD
and I need to refresh the panel. In itself, that does not bother me but is it possible to so that the panels are inactive and become active when opened?
Thanks in advance for your advices

@Spy20 Hi, I see nothing special or wrong about your first image. Both Teams and Tweetdeck are heavy web applications, there's little to be done about that.
You can complain to the MS Teams or Tweetdeck developers to reduce the memory impact of their bloated web apps
One thing that can reduce memory usage of tabs is to run an ad-blocker like uBlock Origin:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm?hl=enAnd you really can't expect anything but a dead bird when you force-kill a web panel... Tip: Don't do that...

In itself, that does not bother me but is it possible to so that the panels are inactive and become active when opened? If you close all panels and then hide the sidebar (F4, or press the "Hide Panel" button in the status bar), this will unload all web panels from memory. Click F4/Show Panel to display the sidebar again, and when you open a panel it will be loaded back into memory.
(This is to be considered a bug, but can be used for this purpose for now.)
