Suggestions - improvements for Vivaldi
-
First: Thanks for the good initiative to make a such useful tool as Vivaldi. I am glad someone out there listen to the users' wishes. I have some suggestions for improvements: 1. Typing an URL in the address field and pressing Enter+SHIFT should open the URL in a new tab. The same applies to pressing a bookmark on the bookmarks toolbar and pressing shift at the same time. 2. There is no keyboard shortcut to open a page in "Background mode". SHIFT+CTRL when clicking the link would be nice, but this (now used to open a link in a new browser). Similarly clicking a link+SHIFT opens a new tab, and changing focus to this tab (not listed in the settings?) 3. When dragging an address down on the bookmark toolbar, the bookmark is put in the Speed Dial folder. This is not intuitive, and maybe a bug? (not a big problem though...) 4. After entering an URL there is always a second or so of (apparently) no activity at all. This is annoying. There is also no good progress indicator, showing what is happening while you are waiting for a page to finish loading. Such an indicator would be good to have, and would probably explain why nothing seems to happen after clicking a link. 5. "Sessions" would be a good feature. You can set up a "profile" of pages to open for a certain job, so that you may open all required pages for the job in one go, rather than having to open them one by one.

Which platform are you on, and which version of Vivaldi are you running?
If you're on Windows, consider posting in the subforum for Vivaldi on Windows.
If you're on Mac, consider posting in the subforum for Vivaldi on Mac.
If you're on Linux, consider posting in the subforum for Vivaldi on Linux.
If you're on multiple platforms and are seeing the same issue on all of them, consider posting in the subforum for all platforms.- The progress bar is displayed in the address field when loading a page. Is it not sufficient?
