Affinity Publisher Released

The Affinity Live 2019 announced the launch of Affinity Publisher.
As a long-term user of Serif products, especially PagePlus DTP, I have been watching the development of Affinity Publisher. It does not suit my needs as it cannot open PagePlus files, and it still lacks important features like footnotes
However, it is creating a lot of excitement among Adobe users who hate being locked into a subscription model for software.
The three Affinity products — Photo, Designer, and Publisher — are cross-platform and fully integrated via a feature called StudioLink. (Performs the same function as Object Linking and Embedding, but it is a quantum leap in terms of performance and ease of use).
