For full support of games using DirectX 9 and lower, you will need to install the missing files and hardware support.
The final DX9 installer is available from the Microsoft site, and will only add missing files.DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=8109Once you have done this, you should enable the DirectPlay API which is disabled in Windows 10.
Open "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel, and then click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
Now look in the "Legacy Components" section and you will find the option for DirectPlay.
