WMA in Linux

Is there a way to run/play WMA files in Linux Mint? I have searched the web and can't find anything other than you could before v18..xxx. This is the only thing keeping me from getting rid of disgusting Win10. I have a ton of mp3 but I also have a ton of wma files. I have over 52 GB of music including both wma and mp3. But I'm getting really sick and tired of Windows. Maybe I'll end up converting all wma files to mp3.

@claudio Maybe I should have also mentioned the need to burn cd's/dvd's and to sync to flash drives/mp3 players
Any help along those lines?I just cannot live without music whether it's in a cd player or a mp3 player even on a flash drive plugged into one of my stereos. At the moment I'm listening to Mozart on a stereo via flash drive.

Never mind. I found what I was asking about. It helps to use the proper search parameters.

Sorry about digging up this thread. But...VLC plays WMA files in Linux just fine. Nope, plays them perfectly...well as perfectly as VLC can.

This is the right Category to discuss the issue, otherwise I would move the topic.

@lamarca First, I'm sorry it took till now to respond. That said, I opened VLC in Mint and loaded a WMA file and it played. It was trial and error. With no error. I just loaded a WMA file/song into VLC and it played.
@2635599 Personal attack aside I have found WMA files sound quite nice. FYI, I have a ton of WMA files.

@Para-Noid No problems. I will test WMA file format, quite sure VLC is able to play.
That's a good software, VLC can easily download the whole video from YT using simple steps. -
@2635599 FYI, I "am" in my right mind. After all you did state something about "who in their right mind." In my original post I did state I had mp3 files too. All my CD music have been converted to mp3 a long time ago. The music I have downloaded from the web is in mp3 format. I have both WMA and mp3. As far as file size goes I have a long way to before my HDD is even close to being half full. I got the room.
