How to prevent your Browser from auto reloading

Here is the fix:
Go to control panel – internet options
Click the "Security" tab.
Click the "Custom Level" button, and scroll down the page until you find the "Miscellaneous" section header.
Click "Disable" under "Allow META REFRESH."
Exit DONE !! Save your sanity.

@greatscot No, it doesn't. Not for me, at least. It doesn't seem to affect any other browser than Internet Explorer. It doesn't seem to work even in MS Edge.
Tested in Vivaldi 1.15.1147.64 (Stable) (64-bit) / Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0 on Windows 10 ver. 1803, x64
