My computer recently to an extent has started scrolling up but not scrolling pages except for the Navigation pane in explorer. It is a scroll down on the zoom bar at the bottom right til I hold ctrl then it scrolls up. On a typical page like this, it does nothing at all. If I hold ctrl down it starts zooming in. I have narrowed it down to being a computer issue not sure where. I have managed to zoom the zoom bar at the bottom right all the way in hover my mouse over it and then turn both my keyboard and mouse off taking the batteries out just in case. It kept zooming out. I thought it was my mouse til I took it apart and cleaned it so.
I also tried these zoom function keys on my keyboard they never did anything and still don't. So what is a scroll up that does not register except in navigation pane in explorer, registers as a scroll down on the zoom bar bottom right, registers as a scroll up on the zoom bar when I hold ctrl, it registers as a zoom in on typical web pages I hover over with my mouse when I hold the ctrl key?

Update: Holding alt over a folder in the navigation pane left clicks on whatever folder it is hovering over.

Turns out a Windows update did this. A lot of people have had it. For some reason, the update crosses some functions and you need to unplug all devices that you may be using and plug them back in. Thankfully I did not do as some did and wipe my computer to find this out. If you have not checked your computer to see if this error is happening you may want to.
Sidenote: a restart does not fix the issue either.
