ISS Astronauts Return Journey
The stranded NASA astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, are scheduled to return to Earth on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. They will be aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, which has been docked at the International Space Station (ISS) since September 2024. The precise timing of their splashdown off the Florida coast is set for approximately 5:57 PM EDT (21:57 GMT), though this is subject to weather conditions and operational flexibility. Their return follows the arrival of the Crew-10 mission, which docked at the ISS on March 16, 2025, to facilitate the crew swap. Originally launched on June 5, 2024, for an eight-day mission aboard Boeing's Starliner, their stay was extended due to technical issues with the spacecraft, which returned to Earth uncrewed in September 2024.
