My Wishlist (From an old Big-O user)

Here are some things I loved on O12 and others I desire to have and didn't saw elsewhere, that really can transform Vivaldi in my main browser: - option to delete history on exit. -(priority, in my view) - configurable limit of entries in history (old items discarded as you visit new pages when limit reached) - Choose what to open at launch (choose between blank, speeddial, last session, fixed list of pages) and what to open in new tabs (blank, speeddial, custom page). - Also, auto deletable everything on exit or after N days. - Options to allow all cookies, but treat them as session cookies anyway, discarding on exit. - Editable "view source" window. Change what you want and apply. Insta-fix for buggy pages (as O12 has)! - Ability to right click and enable page auto-reload. Useful for monitoring some things while doing other. - Also, in the same menu, disable reload completely (for sites that do auto-reload while you read something) - Custom CSS per domain/page/filter - Custom JS per domain/page/filter - Ability to enable/disable plugins per site. - Also, ability to disable globally plugins and enable ONLY on some sites. (a newly visited site won't run the plugin) - Customizable layout. Alt-drag and choose UI buttons - DISABLE JAVASCRIPT - toggle - Preferable as above, so I can disable/enable JS with a click on the UI. Great for developing - DISABLE REFERRER - toggle - Also pinnable to UI, as in O12. Advanced option, O12 didn't have: "send same URL referrer, so it masks the referrer using the destination URL, not the source. E.g, on aaa.com I click on a link to a image on bbb.com. Vivaldi sends http://bbb.com/ in the referrer instead of http://aaa.com/somepage. accessible sites and progressive enhancements. Also, it boosts navigation on some buggy sites. - icon on tab showing me there is sound playing. - option to disable miniatures on tabs (no miniature views) - option customizable per site to block external requests or to allow external requests (it can be in API format, so one can implement as extension. typical use: allow facebook api only when accessing facebook.com, allow google-analytics only on 2 or 3 addresses, and so on - ad-blockers and privacy extensions can do good use of such API). - make it possible to use not only private windows (new opera), but private tabs (opera 12) - restore last closed tab via keyboard shortcut - fully customizable keyboard shortcuts - UNIVERSAL OPEN IN NEW TAB: control click / middle click on any type of link on the UI open it in new tab (universal, it means a middle click on home button open a new tab with the home page, middle click on a menu item that has a link open it in a new tab, open bookmark in new tab, and so on) - allow to hide 'plus' tile on speed dial - option to remove "Close tab" button (as a whole, and option to show close only on focused tab) . - option to show tabs as "pop ups" (MDI alike, as in O12). So we can have these 3 features too: - option to open new tabs only, even if the site requests a new window. So, the new tab will be like a popup. - option to arrange open tabs side to side, so we can have O12's "follower tab". You click in link in one, results show in other. Great for sites that have indexes - ALWAYS EDITABLE URL. Even if JS request otherwise. As in O12, the URL can be hidden by window.open requests, but you can click on it to view/show/edit it. - add "Download URL" text field into download tab, so we can download files with invalid mime types and copy/paste unlinked URLs - PINNED TABS - RSS quick view. Not a full rss client, but an RSS "styler" as in O12, with customizable template. - Downloads should have "open" option, as Opera 12 had. Vivaldi can have a config to auto delete the files in N days. It would be excellent for temporary files you want to see, but don't need to keep. E.G: zipped files that you need one file only, PDFs you need only a glance, and so on. - "Copy as Plain Text" option too. - make the main level of the [V] menu fixed under the icon, not floating where the pointer is. - Sync to private server (allow one to specify a URL for syncing, excellent for ppl who care for privacy, and enterprises) - Option to export/import preferences to/from a single file. Useful for multiple installs (not the same as sync), useful for backup. - option to disable middle click to enter scroll mode - when scrolling via middle click, scroll wheel should exit from middle click scroll mode. To be continued...

Aren't pinned tabs implemented (as of preview 2)? For me, it's the fourth menu item when right-clicking on a tab (German language – “Tab anheften”).
You can restore the last-closed tab via Ctrl+Shift+T. I like it better than Ctrl+Z, because it doesn't interfere with form input. -

In old Opera ctrl+z didn't interfere with form input either, it was programmed smart enough to handle both cases context sensitively.
It should be improved so that it 'just works', not worked around by an unnecessary extra and arcane shortcut. -

For that regard, I still like Vivaldi's Ctrl+Shift+T better; but happily for both of us, all shortcuts will eventually be customizable, right?
