@D0J0P - I created some SD thumbnails a long time ago to go well with the stock Vivaldi thumbnails. These inspired me to create some more thumbnails. I created a lot more thumbs as well as fixed a lot of the ones I had before that were either off-center, or wasn't that great. If you want me to create one for some websites you want, let me know...

Hell yeah this is exactly the reason why I've always wanted custom speed dial images, to get pretty descriptive icons one can interpret and first glance, not some tiny thumbnail!
I'll be making some of my own once this releases officially, maybe i'll share them here too.

Thanks for the suggestion! But no, I made it for personal use (with most png images found in Google Images). I made it to share here in the forum too, because I really liked the thumbnails that BruskKurt posted, so what I did was just based on his thumbnails and creating for other sites.

I created these thumbs because I really loved Vivaldi's stock thumbs, but I didn't want to wait for them to create some thumbs for things like Gmail and Reddit. So I created thumbs where I tried my best to keep the same style as the Vivaldi team's so that it would all look really good. I did this by putting a small icon in the middle, but slightly lower than that like stock V's thumbs, and getting the background colors right. I also tried to make the icons/logos relatively small compared to the background's, as many of V's stock thumbs have it that way as you can see the vivaldi.com thumb, Twitter thumb, YT and FB, etc.
I also tried my best to use the official icon/logo for the site/company I created the thumbs for. This means the Gmail icon in the thumbnail is the same exact stock icon you would see for the Gmail app on Android. The Spotify icon is the new Spotify icon, and I used the same charcoal color in the logo as the background. The Reddit thumb is actually the official Reddit app's icon brought into a thumbnail, right from the Google Play Store. That's my favorite thumb.
I'm not sure I love the Instagram one I created because of the background. I wanted to get a darker purple background to give it that cool, bright color that many of the other thumbs have, but the light purple seemed best in hiding the icon's jagged edges. Maybe if I spend more time on it, I can get it right.
I would also like to use a more intense green for the Google Drive thumb, kind of like how you have yours, so maybe I'll try that sometime.
Lastly, I have CSS setting the border-radius of the SD thumbs to 8px, cause rounded corners FTW.
If anyone likes these, I can create more if you like, and for the website you want.

@Pesala BBC can already be found under application/versionnumber/resources/vivaldi/resources. But if you want, I could make one with the mobile app's icon.
I just did CNN now. There are 2 versions, one with a white background, and one with a red background. Here it is
Vivaldi has a CNN thumbnail, but it's for the Turkish lanugage. The one I made can be for any language.

Actually you could create for these sites (if possible), Engadget, The Verge, Slashdot, Macworld, TorrentFreak, HOTforSecurity, gHacks, Softpedia, Business Insider.
I did not edit my comment, I thought I'd quote what I said, I looked at my speed dial and I do not have thumbnails for those sites! It would gratify if you do for them.

@JuniorSilva30 And ... done! All those sites you mentioned have thumbs now. Some like gHacks I couldn't find the latest, current logo they have, and I couldn't find something big either to size down, but I hope that'll do just fine.
And the Yahoo ones, you saw I had an earlier Yahoo Mail which I redid. I think you might've seen that one already. I did a whole lot. The MS suite, a lot of news websites, and I even did some more social media like Quora. I also did WordPress, which is one of my favorites, as I think I did a really good job with that one.
I'm doing all this on W10 Paint and Paint 3D back and forth. If there's a simple icon for the site on the Google Play Store, I can easily whip up a thumbnail in 2 minutes.
Any other sites that Vivaldi users use a lot, as well as popular sites I may be forgetting?
