Spellcheck.

Doesn't seem to work. I get ondulated lines for words properly spelled. I've installed language packs for danish and english. Not quite sure whether they're the correct ones though. Anyone?

@Gwen-Dragon:
Did you activate them for spellcheck? Pleas look in chrome://settings/languages ?
Did you select them in text areas with context menu?chrome://…. is where?

Hi, copy
chrome://settings/languages
in to the address field > enter
There are many settings in chrome://settings/ but not in the Vivaldi GUI atm..Cheers, mib

I've found that the default English dictionary just isn't very big or smart. I too get a lot of red lines under properly spelled words. Unfortunately I've yet to find a replacement. I've searched a few times for a replacement dictionary but have come up empty.
I can't speak for any other language however.

For me, the dictionary files are slightly different sizes:
en-GB-7-1.bdic 438KB
en-US-7-1.bdic 436 KBBut you can always add words to the spellchecker dictionary.

The English United Kingdom dictionary seems OK to me. Most of the common *.ise spellings that are underlined in American are not underlined in English.

Besides, I notice that neither Searcher46 nor Saucermote mentioned which English dictionary they installed.
If they only used Vivaldi Settings then it would be American English.Other English dictionaries require adding via the chrome://settings/languages (link given by Gwen-Dragon previously).
