I have put the project on hold because of other, more important tasks. I plan to revisit the problem in a couple of months.

I did not talk about the apps hosted on F-Droid, but the F-Droid store/catalog app itself.

@greybeard Heehee, nice one. Yes this site is a bit disappointing. I thought i had bookmarked a different/better site yonks ago [the one i posted here was only stumbled across serendipitously in my daily reading of HackerNews t'other day], but alas it seems i didn't. When time permits i might spend a few moments on the interwebz trying to find better sites, & also ofc for the essential slide-rule sites [oh joy, i just found this old bookmarked one; phwoah!!!].
