Decentraleyes extension
-
(Firefox only, but source is available) I have been using the "Decentraleyes" privacy extension for a few weeks, and so far had no troubles. Currently used with Disconnect extension. Time to share and get second opinions. It differs from most privacy extensions which block everything, as it caches the remote resources so that pages can function without breaking. Feasibly this also offers a speed boost but I have not made any comparisons. https://decentraleyes.org https://prism-break.org/en/projects/decentraleyes/ https://github.com/Synzvato/decentraleyes

Does decentraleyes exist for Vivaldi/Chrome too?
-
I could only find a Firefox version.
The source code is available to pull from github, so other developers may be persuaded to have a go. -
Ok. I understand. So your post was more a matter of generic interest, not a specific pointer to improve privacy settings of vivaldi …

I post all useful security or privacy addons I find here, but I can no longer update my collection post since link limits were imposed.
https://vivaldi.net/forum/private-browsing/412-browser-pluginsThis one I wanted some feedback on, so posted it separately anyway.
There was a time I would have got some from the security geeks that used to be here.
Unfortunately since this half of the forums is constantly spammed by posts for the browser half of the forum, it has started to become useless for the original purpose. -
